endearing family tale full of hope and humor. Studies have
concluded that moving is one of the most traumatic events in
life. The play covers the journey that eleven characters, drawn
together by the life changing experiences, go through in one day that
alters all their lives. Touching, thoughtful, and filled with
wonderful humor, it provides a full evening of high entertainment. | | CHARACTERS: | - Barbara Hartman - 40's, attractive, feminine
- Mildred Wright - large, handsome, ageless, but probably in her 60's, housekeeper.
- Fred Sapstead - Barbara's father. A spry, very young man in his late 70's.
- Timmy Hartman - Barbara's 15 year-old son, studious, bright.
- Harry Picardo - Harry's son, in his early 20's, lithely built, must dance a little.
- Charlie Hartman - Barbara's ex-husband, a charming, boyish man in his 40's.
- Jennifer Hartman - Barbara's 20 year-old daughter, tomboyish, athletic.
- Lisa - the 15 year-old girl from next door.
- Mavis Cruikshank - a ditsy, overblown real estate woman.
- Hilary Hartman - Barbara's 24 year-old daughter.

The
auditions are held in the basement of the Quincy Community United Methodist Church located at 40 Beale Street
in Quincy, Massachusetts. It is a two-minute walk from the
Wollaston T station on the Red Line. The entrance to the basement
of the Church is on Chapman Street side (facing the back of the CVS) and down and short flight of stairs.
There is limited parking
behind the chuch, and plenty of parking in the back of the CVS
